With the first fallen leaf of the season comes a rise in requests for pumpkin spice lattes. People love them and will clamber into your shop for a seasonal sip if you’re making them right.

The foundation for any good coffee drink is using the best coffee available, not some dried up beans that have been sitting on the shelves for months. Differentiate yourself from the others by starting your pumpkin spice lattes with a G-pod, coffee packaged on-site, at the peak of freshness, in a 100% biodegradable and compostable cup.

Anything you do after that will be magic. Here are a couple of our favorite recipes to get you going.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Here it is, the traditional recipe that will give your customers what they crave. Coffeehouse pumpkin spice lattes don’t usually contain pumpkin, so feel free to leave it out—or add it in for a perky pumpkin twist.

1 G-pod, regular or dark roast

1 ½ teaspoons sugar

¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 tablespoon pumpkin puree, optional

½ cup milk

Brew G-pod, add next 2-3 ingredients and stir. Heat milk and add to coffee mixture.

Blended Pumpkin Spice Coffee

On those unseasonably warm fall days, offer your patrons a cool sip of pumpkin spice. This one begins with frozen coffee cubes, so brew some G-pods and freeze them in ice cube trays, so you can just pop them in the blender, as needed. This recipe yields 3 cups, so adjust accordingly.

16 frozen coffee cubes

1 tablespoon sugar or brown sugar

3 tablespoons pumpkin puree

1-1 ½ cups vanilla almond milk

½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Blend all ingredients. See full recipe and directions here.
